Material Conversation

Material Conversation speculates about the meaning of material and symbolic spaces through the construction of a 3D Printer and the testing of geopolymer printing material. As a coupling-out of the “3000 Peaks” project, it addresses the consequences and effects of the global climate catastrophe for Switzerland.

The open studio invites the public to participate in a materiality discourse that is inextricably linked with the symbolic spaces which create the complexity of the topos “Alps”. In a living world of consequences from heterogeneous relations between materials and forces matter becomes the place as well as a participant in negotiation.
