A proto-institution originally staffed by seven researchers, one master student and one scientific advisor addressing plural scientific and technoaesthetic areas as well as practices. It evolved into a model–for Greece-project that bridges academic research and theory, cultural, artistic practice and educational work, which are the three main axes of its action. Since its conception the program has been dedicated to the relationship between art, feminism and technology, to the production of discourse and art, having so far contributed in various ways to the creation of new works of art and innovative theory and methodology. It also focuses on providing expanded pedagogies on these issues, organizing different educational programs.
The three axes of action of the CNMFPP, aim at the development of theory, pedagogical programs and the production of new works. These three directions are not understood as separate fields but as connected and mutually reinforcing, with the common goal of developing a dynamic feminist discourse, theory and practice, aiming to bring forth the locally determined parameters, situated, but at the same time webbed with the processes and the claims of other localities and struggles within the globalised imperative.
