Top – Association for the Promotion of Cultural Practice has been active in Berlin since 2002. Its members are artists, researchers and activists whose work spans individual research, project-space curation and international collaboration. The association supports interdisciplinary projects that foster cross-border exchange in experimental contexts, drawing on an infrastructure that includes a project space, a biolab and a web server. Working largely within a postdigital framework, >top develops artistic forms and approaches that explore the interplay of the digital, the organic and the cultural — pointing toward a humanization of digital technologies. The association champions collaborations that advance dialogue and a diversity of artistic forms and attitudes, contributing to the development of civil society.
