Collective Notetaking & Transcription

Collective notetaking and transcription is a non-intrusive form of documentation and circulation of information, both for those who are present in meetings, and those who cannot be there and will access the information at a later date.

Transcriptions are made via an online voice recording by the lead facilitator of the meeting, then later transcribed and edited for remove any sensitive information via the tool Trint. These transcriptions are then circulated via email or EtherPort and also include a summary of the main themes addressed.

Collective Note Taking is an accompaniment to the transcription where any thoughts, feelings, ideas, inspiration, references or associations can be compiled collectively in one document. These collective notes are then circulated in accompaiment with the full transcription.

Together the collective note taking and transcripton give a multi-perspective, polyvocal approach to documentation.
