He was born in Esfahan, Iran, and studied dramatic arts at the Isfahan Fine Arts Academy. He graduated from the University of Tehran, With a BA in Puppet Theater. He has performed in several theater and performance shows in the public sphere. Erfan served as the executive director of the 19th Tehran International Puppet Theater Festival and is currently working on several children's literature books.
