Jelena Mair

Since 2022, Jelena has been part of the leadership team at the School of Commons, Zurich University of the Arts (CH), where she oversees our Office, Finances, and Funding & Partnerships.

Jelena has a background in expressive art therapy, and transdisciplinary studies, as well as a Master’s in International Development and Conflict Transformation. She is the Creative Director at Below the Skin, a swiss based dance company, where she co-develops the artistic concepts with Choreographer Aly Khamees, and she is a mother of a beautiful little human being.

Passionate about helping others, Jelena loves guiding people in bringing their project ideas to life—whether it’s through creative brainstorming, organizational strategies, or securing funding. She enjoys supporting others in kickstarting their ventures from idea to reality. For Jelena, art and social change are deeply connected, making her a dedicated organizational architect and lifelong learner. Jelena is also a certified Organic Intelligence Resiliency Coach and passionate about the study of trauma, neuroscience and Buddhist psychology.
