Based in Berlin

Joaquina Salgado (b. 1995, Argentina) is a new media artist based in Berlin whose work explores the intersections of technology, philosophy, and science. She studied Media Arts at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP). Combining motion capture, game engines, and custom-built interfaces, she creates interactive installations and virtual environments that question how perception and identity are shaped by technological systems. Her projects have been presented at MUTEK (Buenos Aires, Montreal), Berlin Art Week, and the APAP7 Triennial in Korea, with recent support from Pro Helvetia and the British Council. She presented a solo exhibition at SOMA Berlin in December 2025 and is a member of Amplify D.A.I., a network of women artists and curators in digital arts.
