Mariam Rafehi

She investigates evolving digital learning cultures and participative methods for education design as part of the School of Commons (SoC) by the ZHdK. In her SoC lab, she is exploring intuition as a dimension of embodied cognition through somatic practices inspired by the Social Presencing Theater. Prior to that, she worked with international partners on a research project focusing on potential applications of virtual reality in education. Based on her research with immersive media, she has been a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts, Northwestern University and Virginia Commonwealth University.
