Sophie Mak-Schram

Sophie cares about the radicality possible in the 'and' between art and education. Sophie works with others, both as method and form. Spanning experiential education, collective practices and (artistic) research, Sophie convenes, writes, reads, makes objects to learn with or listen to, facilitates and performs. Recently, Sophie was Curriculum Redefined fellow and Lecturer of Art Pedagogies at the University of Leeds, one of 7 commissioned artists working on decolonising National Museum Wales across 2023 - 2025, and Research Associate at CCA Derry-Londonderry between 2024-25. Sophie co-convenes Gentle Gestures, a research group on alternative pedagogies.
