A tensile paradise recognizes social and physical tensions as sites of negotiation and productive collaboration. There are no blueprints. In negotiating the tension in the connecting cords between nodes, participants explore both the structure of organizations and how their organizing results in a physical and social structure. While paradise is not synonymous with utopia, flexible structures provide the resilience necessary to pursue utopian projects.
