Through the act of amassing and assembling the various themes, ways of workings and methodologies that connect the SoC 2023 cohort, ISSUES, itself, can be seen to provide a distributable, publishable, (mutual) support structure.
However, “mutual support” in the context of this publication relates not only to such tangible supportive infrastructures, and self-organised supportive systems, but also moves into areas of friendship, kinship, facing confrontations and political challenges, as well as the creation of safe(r), brave(r) spaces.
The following contributions work separately, yet at the same time weave a collective patch-work, that adds nuance and new perspectives to this collective framing.
